The Bristol Muzzle and Breech Loading Gun Club is a Home Office Approved Target Shooting Club.
We shoot Full Bore Rifle, Muzzle Loading Rifle, Muzzle Loading Pistol and Clay Pigeon Shotgun.
The Club is affiliated to the National Rifle Association and The Clay Pigeon Shooting Association. We are also a branch of the Muzzle Loaders Association of Great Britain.
We have a diverse membership that shoot anything from antique or reproduction rifles, Vintage and classic rifles, Sporting rifles and the more modern and sophisticated high power target rifles, all are shot at distances up to 1000 yards.
We also shoot single shot Muzzle Loading Pistols, Black Powder Revolvers and Underlever rifles.
We have our own Clay Pigeon shooting ground with a well laid out and comprehensive sporting layout. We also arrange a number of trips to shooting grounds locally to shoot Skeet and Down the Line.
The club holds monthly meeting for members to meet socially and discuss club matters. We also invite guest speakers such as Bill Harriman from the BASC and Antiques Road Show to give us a talk on shooting related matters
The club has a place on the local firearms liaison committee of Avon and Somerset Police, representing the interests of the club members and the wider shooting community.
We also run a stand at a number of local county shows designed to inform the public about target shooting sports.
